Do I have good character?

I think I have good character. I don't think mine is perfect, but nobody's perfect, you know? I try to respect everyone and everything. If I accidentally drop something, such as a food wrapper or a school marker, then I will pick it up and put it in its correct place, even if that place is in my mouth xD! I don't usually put food in my mouth after I dropped it. Sometimes, but not always. Most of the time, I would throw it out, even though it is a waste of food. Anyways, that was a little off topic. I respect other people by not saying or doing anything that can make them feel embarresed, or hurt, would it be physically or mentally. As they say, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". Also, if I see trash at school or outside of school in the ground, I will pick it up. I also try to listen to my parents and teachers. Sometimes, I won't listen to my parents and argue because I think what they say is wrong, but I try not to do that because that is not good character and you shouldn't argue with your parents.

End Statment

Character:
Each student will possess the character to do what is right, act morally with wisdom, and ballance individual concerns with the rights and needs of others.

What is the Problem?

The Problem-Racism:
My problem is racism. This includes racism comments, videos, posters, etc.

Why do I care?
I care because it is not fair not getting equal rights, equal attention and respect and kindness. That can almost happen to anyone. Being treated like that is horrible and everybody has equal rights. You can't treat someone differently because of their race or their skin colour. If someone thinks that you will be bad at something or if they hate you because of your race or colour, that is racism.

Why should others care?
Racism can happen to ANYONE. Racism is also a form of bullying and that makes the victim feel like they're being bullied. Others should care because there is a chance that they can become a victim of racism. Everyone is the same, so everyone should be treated the same!

What can I do about it?
I can put up posters to help raise awarness. People who are racist might not even pay attention to it, but I can help prevent younger people or kids to be racist. It is very hard to make someone who is already racist (ugh) not to be racist, but it would be easier to help prevent others from being racist.

Digital Citizen Questions

Questions:
1. Do computers give us more human connections or less human connections?
2. 5 rules for manners and ethics.
3. Should teachers encourage multitasking or dicourage multitasking?
4. 6 word poem summarizing an experience you've had online.

What I think:

1. I think it depends on what you are doing. If you are playing games or something as if you were addicted, then it would give you less human connection because when you are addicted to something, it is very hard to let go of it and ignore it. You will probably play video games or watch tv, etc. anytime possible, like playing a video game while walking, watching tv while eating dinner, etc. You will be cut off from the outside world and just....well....being obssesed with electronics. That will also give an impression on your friends that you are some creepy person that doesn't talk to anyone and is obssesed with electronics.
There is another thing with electronics. Emails, massive-multiplayer games. These things take your human connection from the outside world if you are obssesed, but they link you to other people who are also doing what you are doing. This gives a different kind of human connection.

2. 5 rules for manners and ethics? Hmm......
1. Don't bully or mistreat anyone.
2. Don't plagirise other peoples work.
3. Don't view or watch things not appropriate for your age.
4. Don't steal personal belongings or information from other people.
5. Don't do anything that can cause someone emotional or physical hurt.

3. I think that they should discourage multitasking. Even scientests have researched this and their results show that multitaskers don't do as well as compared to others who don't multitask. The multitaskers thought they were good at it, but the scientests proved them wrong...........
They can do better in school, university or college if they don't multitask. I think they can think more in depth if they focus on thing at a time.

4. This is my poem:

Lets Me Play Games, Do Homework
